Estonian Jazz Musicians on the jazzahead! 2027 Shortlist

Estonian jazz musicians have made it onto the shortlist for the showcase programme of jazzahead! 2027, the international jazz trade fair. Out of 768 applications from 62 countries, 103 artists and ensembles were selected for the shortlist. A total of 38 acts will be selected for the final programme, to be announced in November.

The Estonian artists and ensembles on the shortlist include Estonian Voices, Jaak Sooäär Trio, Joel Remmel Trio, the Kadri Voorand and Mihkel Mälgand duo, Karmen Rõivassepp Quartet, Kristjan Randalu, Littorina Saxophone Quartet, Maria Faust Sacrum Facere, Maria Faust’s MORGENBARN, Mingo Rajandi and Rahel Talts Quartet.

The Baltic region — Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania — will be the focus of jazzahead! 2027, giving jazz musicians from all three countries an opportunity to showcase their work to the international music industry and develop new performance and collaboration opportunities.

jazzahead! will take place in Bremen, Germany, from 22 to 24 April 2027.
